News from Prima:

a plot twist, and what’s ahead.

A TEMPORARY DISRUPTION TO THE THEATER SPACE

Recently, a burst pipe led to extensive flooding throughout the theater, lobby, and backstage areas. The damage is significant. Full “immersive” theater: water edition.

For safety and restoration reasons, the space is currently unusable (for example, the entire floor has to be ripped out). The work ahead will be loud, invasive, and incompatible with rehearsals or performances for a bit — but it’s underway, and we’re moving forward with care and momentum.

If you’d like a glimpse into what we’re navigating, check out the short 1-minute video update.

WHAT THIS MEANS RIGHT NOW

This moment has required real adjustment behind the scenes. After careful discernment and exploration of all viable options, The 70s Experience has been cancelled. And still, what matters hasn’t changed.

The patrons matter.
The artists matter.
The music matters.
Gathering matters.
Making room for joy… it matters.

Even as restoration unfolds, the team is focused on returning to what Prima does best: creating shared experiences that help people feel more alive, more connected, and more human.

LOOKING AHEAD

We’re grateful to share that we have every expectation of welcoming audiences back soon.

  • The Complete History of America (Abridged) begins in April — a fast, funny, joy-forward reminder of how good it feels to laugh together.

  • The Motown Club follows in June — an immersive celebration of the music that shaped generations and still moves us today.

These productions are already taking shape, and we can’t wait to open the doors again.

If you’ve been thinking about joining us this season, this is a meaningful moment to step in. Tickets for both upcoming productions are now available, and a two-show subscription offers a simple way to be part of both experiences.
